Group criticizes SEC's rules on executive-pay disclosures

The CFA Institute Centre for Financial Market Integrity has asked the SEC to make 10 improvements to its rules on disclosure of executive compensation. "Like many observers, we were highly disappointed in the inconsistent and overly complex implementation of the rules exhibited by many companies," CFA Institute's letter to the SEC reads. "The length, complexity and lack of transparency of the disclosures suggests companies either ignored or misunderstood the spirit and intention of the rules."
