Hospitals to get full update under CMS outpatient reporting program

More than 3,000 U.S. hospitals will receive the full 2009 payment update for meeting the requirements of the Hospital Outpatient Quality Data Reporting Program of the CMS. The figure represents 99.3% of all hospitals that joined the 2008 program, which aims to ensure that Medicare beneficiaries are provided the best outcomes for their money, said CMS Administrator Kerry Weems.
