Expert: Declining pandemic could usher in new flu viruses

Circulation of the H1N1 flu virus has been on a downward trend, particularly in the U.S. and Europe, but the decline of the pandemic flu could usher in a new mix of viruses, an expert from the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control said. Governments should continue monitoring the flu and urge people to have the H1N1 flu shot, Angus Nicoll said.
