ExxonMobil teams with Qatar on $6B chemical plant

In what is said to represent the largest energy project in Qatar since 2006, ExxonMobil is teaming up with Qatar Petroleum on a $6 billion chemical plant. The plant, set for completion by 2015, will have a steam cracker producing 1.6 million tons per year, two 650,000-ton polyethylene plants and a 700,000-ton ethylene glycol facility. It will produce chemicals for export to Asia.
