Lost Amazon city emerges on Google Earth

Aerial images of deforested stretches of the Amazon basin have helped to reveal a remarkable find: 200 earthworks that some experts believe may be infrastructure elements of the lost city of El Dorado. Researchers used Google Earth images along with traditional archaeological work to help establish the location of the city. The structures, as old as A.D. 200, were discovered in Brazil and the findings were published in Antiquity.
