Maryland aims to be a national cybersecurity leader

State officials are convinced Maryland has the expertise and technology foundation to be the country's "epicenter" when it comes to defending against cyber attacks as it's home to the National Institute of Standards and Technology, the U.S. National Security Agency, a dozen military installations and top-notch educational institutions. State officials hope to build a national center of excellence in cybersecurity.
