HTML5 took the development community by storm in 2011, developers say, but it still has a long way to go. Better media, audio and mobile-design tools are needed, but what's really vital is a broader ecosystem to help developers find an audience for their work. "We would like to keep pushing on the community. ... If developers cannot make money publishing HTML5 apps, they are just not going to do it," says AppMobi CTO Sam Abadir.
