Advocacy group urges consumers to avoid trans fat

Michael Jacobson, executive director of the Center for Science in the Public Interest, said consumers should avoid trans fat, which can lead to heart disease. The American Heart Association recommends consuming less than 2 grams a day, leaving little room for artificial trans fat because a small amount is found naturally in beef and dairy products.
