Glamour magazine plans ads with immediate-purchase option

Building on a September experiment that encouraged readers to "like" advertisers on social networks, Conde Nast's Glamour magazine is planning a March issue that allows readers to make purchases by scanning ads using a smartphone. The social media issue was a hit, Glamour said, and enthusiasm is building among brands and retailers to be part of the mobile-commerce "instant-gratification issue."
