Walt Disney Parks and Resorts this week announced that George A. Kalogridis will become president of Disney World in Orlando, Florida, on Feb. 1. He currently is president of Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. Kalogridis' new assignment is part of a broader realignment in the management team. He will replace Meg Crofton, who will focus on her responsibilities as president of all operations for Disney theme parks in the U.S. and Europe. "With all that we currently have in flight across our resort destinations in the U.S. and France, the time is right to move forward with this leadership transition. This group of Disney veterans has the knowledge and expertise needed to continue delivering on our legacy of creating unforgettable experiences that our guests have come to know and expect," Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Tom Staggs said. The changes announced this week affected more than six executives.
