Louisiana must work to maintain its status as a prime destination for the petrochemical industry, said Dan Borné, president of the Louisiana Chemical Association. "We need to remain vigilant. We need to fight to ensure that the chemical industry continues to spend money in Louisiana," Borné said. "A chemical company can spend $500 million on a project in your state, but that doesn't mean that you'll get the next dollar they invest," he added.
