Plastic surgeons report continued uptick in number of male clients

The number of men seeking plastic surgery has risen over the past few years, plastic surgeons say. As the economy recovered, more men began seeking cosmetic procedures in an effort to get or retain jobs, plastic surgeon Adam Weinfeld says. Cosmetic surgery can help address areas that diet and exercise alone won't affect, says plastic surgeon Sanjay Sharma. Weinfeld adds that technological advances have helped foster techniques that reduce swelling and bruising.
