Senator to reintroduce bill on pilot flight and duty rules for cargo pilots

Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., plans to reintroduce a bill to apply pilot flight and duty rules to cargo pilots. Boxer serves on the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee. UPS and FedEx are opposed to applying the rules to cargo pilots, who fly fewer hours and have more opportunities to rest than commercial pilots. FAA intends to proceed with its rule as written.
