Study links depression with increased risk of type 2 diabetes

Women who suffer from depression may be at greater risk for type 2 diabetes, a new study concludes. The study of data on more than 72,000 nurses found higher rates of type 2 diabetes among those reporting depression, but since subjects were mainly white women, the findings may not apply to other populations.
