Drug firms unveil discount program for uninsured Americans

A drug discount card program offering savings of up to 40% for uninsured Americans was introduced by a coalition of 10 major pharmaceutical companies. The Together Rx Access Card program provides discounts on more than 275 brand-name drugs and many generic drugs. To qualify, individuals must be under age 65, not eligible for Medicare or other public or private drug coverage and meet certain income requirements.
