Google abets staff soul-searching

Google has quietly launched its own "School of Personal Growth" to boost its brainpower by nurturing the soul. The program allows employees to study emotional and mental development, holistic health and the Buddhist idea of power beyond the self. "It's very effective because studies have proven that if people are relaxed and open, they won't repeat the same ideas and mistakes," says Monika Broecker, a therapist who helped Google create the school.
