More companies offer families help with disability services

With about 20% of the country affected by disabilities, more U.S. companies are hiring advisers to guide families through the maze of benefits and special-education services. "There is no national network to tap to get information, so private industry is stepping in to fill the gap," says Charlie Hammerman, president of an investment and financial services firm focused on special needs.
