Progress Energy receives approval for plants from Fla. agency

Progress Energy has received approval from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection to continue with plans to build a 2,200-megawatt nuclear power plant in Levy County, Fla. The FDEP's approval is conditional, based on the utility company following rules regarding waste disposal, pollution and environmental impact.
