South Korea, Japan focus on cooperation, trade

Policymakers from South Korea and Japan are meeting in Seoul, South Korea, to smooth over past differences and try to restart talks on a free-trade agreement between the two countries. South Korea and Japan are important trading partners, but South Korea had a trade deficit with Japan of close to $30 billion in 2007.
