$2.4B expansion of Las Vegas airport on schedule

The $2.4 billion expansion project at McCarran International Airport near Las Vegas is about half done and is expected to open in 2012. The stimulus package has kept the project on schedule, employing 1,700 construction workers, and tax provisions helped the county save more than $72 million in interest on construction bonds.
