Amtrak unveils 2010 plan to replace locomotives

Amtrak on Monday unveiled an aggressive plan to replace its entire fleet of cars and locomotives, cut travel times on its Northeast corridor and partner with states to develop high-speed networks. Amtrak said it also plans to implement a Positive Train Control system by the end of 2012, three years ahead of a congressional deadline.
