HIT panel mulls changes in meaningful use rules

A work group of the HHS' Health IT Policy Committee said it might revisit its recently released meaningful use proposal, concentrating on "philosophical" aspects rather than minute details. "Clearly, clinical quality reporting and quality measures tied to outcome improvement is one of those big topics," said Paul Tang, the work group's co-chairman.
