L.A. school board says charters must abide by special-education ruling

The Los Angeles school board adopted new rules for charter schools, ordering operators to disclose personal financial information and ordering schools to abide by requirements that regulate special education for students with disabilities. Officials with the California Charter Schools Association opposed the requirements -- which match those for district officials -- and called them burdensome and unnecessary.
