N.J. legislators pass measure to approve medical marijuana

The New Jersey Legislature moved to legalize medical marijuana for patients with serious conditions such as cancer, AIDS and multiple sclerosis. The measure, which is expected to be signed by Gov. Jon S. Corzine, would allow only marijuana grown and distributed by dispensaries approved by the state. The bill would also restrict prescriptions to 2 ounces per month for every patient.
