Poll: Security measures heighten dissatisfaction with air travel

From security hassles to crowded planes, many Americans say flying is not the pleasant experience it once was. In a new USA TODAY/Gallup Poll, 27% of fliers said they are more likely to seek out other modes of transportation in order to avoid the inconvenience of commercial air travel, and 35% said they are unsatisfied with security screening procedures. Aviation analysts say it is too early to know whether such concerns will lead to reduced demand for the airline industry, which suffered $11 billion in worldwide losses last year.
