Travelers are facing flight cancellations in the Deep South, the Northeast and the Great Lakes region. The major storm could dump a foot or more of snow on Boston and New York. "Airlines will continue to pre-emptively cancel flights," said George Hobica, founder of AirfareWatchdog.com. "They don't want to be stuck with three-hour tarmac rule [violations]. One way to avoid them is by canceling."
