District considers allowing students, teachers to use Twitter

School district officials in Chappaqua, N.Y., are considering changing the district's social media policy to allow the use of Twitter for academic purposes. The proposed change, prompted by requests by educators to use the microblogging site as part of classroom instruction, would have students and teachers using accounts that are registered with district-issued e-mail accounts.
