Fandango says half of users tap mobile to buy movie tickets

Half of movie ticket service Fandango's users are tapping their mobile devices to buy tickets, the company says. Mobile became an option only last year but has quickly won fans. "More and more, moviegoers are no longer tethered to their home computers or laptops and are looking to their mobile devices for movie information on the go," said Jessica Yi, chief product officer at Fandango.
