Ohio city turns to propane autogas, CNG to reduce fuel cost

The city of Avon Lake, Ohio, is planning to convert some of its police cars to propane autogas and some diesel-powered city vehicles to compressed natural gas in a bid to slash fuel costs. "We are looking at all kinds of alternative options to lower our fuel cost. Compressed natural gas is one of those options, as is propane," said city Councilwoman Jennifer Fenderbosch. The city is looking for suppliers of propane autogas and CNG systems to help it make the switch.
