Super Bowl marketers crash the viral video charts

Finalists in Doritos' fan-made Super Bowl commercials topped the list of viral activity in advance of the big game, per a Visible Measures study. Garnering 1.7 million views, Doritos' amateur commercials lead spots for Samsung/Google Galaxy Nexus while spots from last year's Super Bowl pre- and post-hype, such as the mini-Darth Vader spot for Volkswagen, are being revisited in large numbers, showing that modest investments in Web promoting are paying off for some brands.
