Tenn. district could relax policy on student cellphones

A school board member in Sumner County, Tenn., wants the district to allow students to bring their cellphones to school and use the devices between classes and during lunch. The push follows a decision in 2010 to limit use to the classroom under teacher supervision. Danny Hale's proposal would authorize principals to allow additional use.
