The average amount of time spent on traditional TV viewing continues to increase, even as Netflix, HBO GO, Hulu and other on-demand services gain users, research from Turner Networks has found. The number of hours the average viewer logged in front of the TV increased slightly last year to 34.2 per week, including live and time-shifted viewing. Live viewing, which makes up the bulk of TV watching, has gradually decreased during the past five years, but delayed viewing is now more than five times what it was in 2006.
Traditional TV is more popular than ever, thanks to delayed viewing
