Aviation groups unite to press for NextGen

Commercial airlines and general aviation, two industries that have long battled over regulations and resources, are joining together to seek federal stimulus funds for a much needed overhaul of the U.S. air traffic control system. "There's recognition amongst all of us that the only way we're going to move NextGen is if we're united," says an official with the Air Transport Association. The joint effort seems to be getting attention on Capitol Hill. Andy Cebula of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association says the reaction among lawmakers to this new, united front has been, "This is great, you guys are all together on this."
