Businesses keep up fight to stop E-Verify

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and other business groups are still trying to keep Homeland Security's E-Verify system from going into force. The federal government has until Feb. 27 to respond to a lawsuit challenging its authority to require contractors to use the online system to check the eligibility of new employees to work in the U.S.
