East India gets first cord blood storage facility

CordLife Sciences India has established the first full umbilical-cord blood tissue processing and storage facility in Calcutta. The facility, which will officially launch in the first quarter of the year, is capable of storing 50,000 units and will serve as a source of stem cells for future transplants or cellular therapies.
