Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the Nigerian man suspected of trying to bomb a Northwest Airlines jet on Christmas Day, did not purchase a one-way ticket, as originally reported, administration officials told congressional aides during a closed-door meeting on Tuesday. The officials reportedly confirmed that Abdulmutallab paid for his round-trip ticket with cash, though that alone would not arouse suspicion, since 20% of international passengers pay cash for their flights.
