European banks running out of delay tactics on CRE loans

European banks have yet to begin foreclosures and take write-downs on nonperforming commercial real estate loans. Investors are hoping this will be the year those banks stop delaying in taking those losses. "Banks have been pushing out the maturity dates on the loans, but you can't keep on doing that forever," said Andrew Hawkins, director at property consultant Jones Lang LaSalle.
