New York Fed will cooperate on AIG investigation "as appropriate"

The Federal Reserve Bank of New York will cooperate "as appropriate" with an investigation by the U.S. House Oversight and Government Reform Committee into the bailout of American International Group, a bank spokeswoman said. The panel subpoenaed documents relating to advice the New York Fed gave to AIG on releasing information about payments to other banks. "We will work with the committee to provide relevant information as appropriate," said New York Fed spokeswoman Deborah Kilroe.
