Publishers, hardware firms rush to go mobile

The move toward data portability and mobile devices is a central theme occupying tech manufacturers and marketers, according to eMarketer. Netbook shipments will nearly quadruple from 2008 to 2013, to 63 million worldwide, while 3G smartphones will go from 92 million in 2008 to 656 million in 2013, according to a Morgan Stanley report.
