Teachers: Staff dress code is inconsistent in Missouri district

Teachers in Missouri's Independence district say a staff dress code is being applied inconsistently -- with expectations varying among different schools and grade levels. "The school district needs to trust in their employees to present themselves with high professional standards," said the president of the Independence National Educator's Association. But an administrator said a teacher's appearance matters. "As educators, we are role models to these kids, and it matters how we present ourselves," she said.
