Feds to provide data on cyberthreats to AT&T, CenturyLink

AT&T, CenturyLink and Lockheed Martin will get classified information from the Defense Department and the Department of Homeland Security on known cyberthreats, enabling them to offer security services to customers. "The idea was if the government knew something, figure out a way to share it in a way that kept it private but still allowed the protection benefits to flow from that," said Richard Hale, the Pentagon's deputy chief information officer.
