Agency recommends gestational diabetes screening for pregnant women

The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force recommends that all pregnant women who have not been diagnosed with diabetes should undergo screening for gestational diabetes after 24 weeks of pregnancy to reduce the odds of complications. The recommendations were published in the Annals of Internal Medicine.
