Md. campaign touts role of school boards in curbing hunger

Share Our Strength's "No Kid Hungry" campaign is working this month -- also School Board Recognition Month -- to highlight the important affect that school boards can have on helping to curb childhood hunger. "Boards of education, elected boards of education in particular, are really the closest politicians to the community," said Molly McCloskey, director of the Maryland No Kid Hungry campaign. "They speak for children in a way that sometimes state and federal legislators can't."
