Nutrition experts review popular diets

Nutrition experts say fad diets may lead to weight loss but can be difficult to follow long term, so new plans must consider ease of use and potential compliance. Research dietitian Michelle Harvie of University Hospital of South Manchester said intermittent fasting may be easier for some people to stick to, while Judy Buttriss of the British Nutrition Foundation said some popular diets can be tools for weight loss, but "there's currently no evidence that one is any better than another in the long term."
