Sarasin: Future is bright for adaptable food industry

The food-retail industry's ability to adapt in times of rapid change, such as offering healthier options, catering to shoppers' need for convenience and being able to experiment with different formats, positions it well for the future, FMI President and CEO Leslie Sarasin said at the Midwinter Executive Conference. "The food-retail industry -- with its experience of riding the three waves of societal development -- is uniquely positioned to help bring order out of the current state of chaos," she said.
