There is a need to create a commission that would help expedite the availability of electronic medical records in a primary care physician's office, said Herb Conaway, a New Jersey doctor and legislator, in an interview about the bill he sponsored that calls for the adoption of EMRs in the state. Conaway said the development of statewide standards would help address privacy and security concerns of EMRs.
