Microsoft center shows technology in retail environment

Microsoft has opened a 20,000-square-foot mock-up of a retail store at its Redmond, Wash., headquarters to enable retailers to see its technology at work. Among the products: interactive signs and kiosks, radio-frequency identification technology, and applications that will send information to shoppers' carts or mobile phones.
