Researchers develop biomaterial that promotes blood vessel growth

Canadian scientists were able to regrow blood vessels in laboratory animals using a collagen-based material that attracts progenitor cells to promote tissue regeneration. The study shows that adding the "recruiting factors" of the biomaterial can help improve the regeneration of certain tissues, an expert in regenerative medicine said.
