Ford explains why he now backs marriage equality

Former U.S. Rep. Harold Ford Jr., D-Tenn., who is considering a primary challenge against U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., said he has "learned" and "listened" about marriage equality and now backs marriage rights for same-sex couples. Ford, while representing a Tennessee district, twice voted in favor of marriage bans.
