Most Asian markets gain as concern about China eases

Most share markets across the Asian-Pacific region advanced Thursday, lifted by a rally on Wall Street, an easing of concern regarding China's monetary tightening and data on jobs that beat expectations. Japan's Nikkei 225 jumped 1.6%, Australia's S&P/ASX 200 gained 0.6% and China's Shanghai Composite added 1.4%. Taiwan's Taiex rose 1.1%, South Korea's Kospi Composite climbed 0.9% and Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index slid 0.2%.
